I’m Trond Aas, co-founder and CEO of Attensi, specialists in game-based simulation training that combines gaming principles with behavioural psychology and Learning and Development.
With a background in organizational development, artificial intelligence, and game-based learning, I’ve dedicated my career to crafting development tools that drive personal and professional growth. From programming my first video game at the age of fifteen to the AI age of opportunity we live in now – it is fascinating and exciting to be part of this ever-evolving journey. And I strongly believe that AI is a real opportunity to advance and positively impact the way we learn and develop new skills.
What will you highlight, showcase, or talk about at the Learning Conference?
AI isn’t here to replace human learning; it’s here to enhance it. I’ll be talking about how AI-driven tools can make training more immersive, adaptive, and impactful. We need to move beyond passive learning and focus on real-world applications that drive measurable results. There are skills gaps that we need to address and AI can help us build these new skills, including soft skills.
What are you most looking forward to about being on-site at the Learning Conference 2025?
Meeting people who are reshaping L&D! I love exchanging ideas on how to future-proof skills, tackle the challenges of continuous learning, and make AI an ally rather than a threat. I also enjoy hearing feedback from those who have used our solutions and discussing how we can make training more immersive and personalized than ever before.
In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges in the industry today? What are the most important trends?
The skills gap is widening, and traditional training just isn’t keeping up. AI can help by making learning more personalized and embedded in daily workflows. We’re also seeing a demand for measurable impact; organizations want proof that training leads to real behavior change.
